50 Meter Baseline Swim Times

As a baseline result, I had each of the soldiers do a 50 meter all-out effort at the start of the program. Below are their times, throughout the training program we will be reassessing each athlete to determine his/ her rate of improvement.

Congratulations

One of the Warrior Games Applicants just competed in her first ever Marathon this past weekend. She had a goal time of 4:45 and absolutely crushed her goal time with a 4:22:19, we are so proud of you!!! Congratulations!

Warrior Game Athletes Who Made It Into The Paralymics

Many Paralympic athletes get their start through the Warrior
Games. Several soldiers come together each year to compete in a very
competitive week of competition known as the Warrior Games. Through these
competitions, a select few then go onto the very prestigious status of making the Paralympic

Shooting- Allowed 4 per company, each participant picks 2 events. 

  • 10m Air Rifle Standing- Open, SH2 and SH1
  • 10m Air Rifle Prone (seated) -Open, SH2 and SH1
  • 10m Air Pistol Standing- Open and SH1

Archery- Allowed 4 per company 

  • Compound Open
  • Recurve Open

Cycling -Fastest 20K- Allowed 4 per company

  • Bicycle
  • Hand Cycle
  •  

Track & Field- Allowed 7 per company

  • Discus- seated and standing -men
  • Shot-Put-seated and standing- men & women
  • 100m- men & women
  • 200m- men
  • 800m- men & women
  • Relay 4x100m -Coed

Swimming-Allowed 5 per company

  • 50 back- men & women
  • 50 free- men & women
  • 100 free- men
  • Relay 200 meter free- Coed

 Sitting Volleyball- Allowed 10 per company 

 Wheel Chair Basketball- Allowed 10 per company

Welcome to the LifeQuest Transitions Warrior Games Blog. Here you will find inspirational stories of Soldiers that have paid the ultimate price in serving our country and now are going to participate in the 2012 Warrior Games held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

LifeQuest Transitions is a nonprofit organization that has developed a 5 month training program for Fort Carson’s Army Wounded Transition Battalion (WTB) to properly train and prepare for the 2012 Warrior Games. This program is being lead by Danielle Kehoe the Athlete’s Program Director at LifeQuest Transitions.
